Escritor e pregador jesuíta, nascido em Mans, França, em 7 de julho de 1693; faleceu provavelmente em Paris por volta de 1773. Entrou na Sociedade de Jesus em 16 de agosto de 1709, e ensinou belas-letras, retórica e filosofia. Após a ordenação, foi designado para pregar e ministrar o curso de Advento na Corte em 1744, ano em que publicou sua "Vida do Ven. Inácio de Azevedo, S.J." e em 1746 a do Ven. João de Brito, S.J., a última das quais foi traduzida para o inglês pelo Padre Faber do Oratório (Richardson, Londres, 1851). Escreveu uma série de outras obras de devoção e para leitura espiritual.
Jesuit writer and preacher, born at Mans, France, 7 July, 1693; died probably at Paris about 1773. He entered the Society of Jesus 16 August, 1709, and taught belles-lettres, rhetoric, and philosophy. After ordination he was assigned to preach and give the Advent course at Court in 1744, during which year he published his "Life of Ven. Ignatius Azevedo, S.J." and in 1746 that of Ven. John de Britto, S.J., the latter of which has been translated into English by Father Faber of the Oratory (Richardson, London, 1851). He wrote a number of other works of devotion and for spiritual reading.
